Using House affordability calculator
Translate your monthly housing budget into a property price using your loan, down-payment and other-cost assumptions.
This reverses a fixed-payment loan formula. It does not determine qualification, recommend a spending limit or calculate taxes from location. Closing costs, reserves and changes in expenses remain separate. Fixed assumptions only: no taxes, fees, changing returns, guarantees or product eligibility. Amounts share one currency.
A worked example
Example inputs: monthly housing budget = 1000, monthly taxes, insurance and other housing costs = 200, annual nominal loan interest (%) = 0, loan term (months) = 120, down payment (%) = 20. Price within supplied payment budget = 120000.
