Visible character

A joined emoji or a letter with combining accents counts as one visible character. Open the tool.

Code point

A code point identifies a character or part of a character in Unicode. One visible character can use several code points. Open the tool.

UTF-8 byte

A byte measures encoded data size. A character can need more than one byte. Open the tool.

Lossless formatting

Formatting changes spacing while preserving the underlying values. The JSON formatter keeps number tokens, including long integer IDs. Open the tool.

Independent draw

Every draw can select any item in the range again. Repeated results are allowed. Open the tool.

Without replacement

A selected item leaves the pool until you reset it. It cannot be selected again in that draw. Open the tool.
