How to turn 9/10 into a decimal
Divide the top number by the bottom one: 9 ÷ 10. 10 does not go into 9, so write 0 and a decimal point, put a 0 after the 9 and divide:
- 90 ÷ 10 = 9, remainder 0 (9 × 10 = 90). Remainder 0, so the division ends: 9/10 = 0.9
To read it as a percentage, move the decimal point two places to the right: 90%.
