How to convert temperature

Absolute temperatures use an offset. For a temperature difference, one Celsius degree equals 1.8 Fahrenheit degrees; do not apply the absolute-temperature offset.

Temperature scales change the zero point as well as the size of a degree. Celsius to Fahrenheit multiplies by 1.8, then adds 32.
