How to convert acceleration
Standard gravity is a defined reference, not a measurement of gravity at your location. Negative acceleration may represent a chosen direction.
Multiply by the source unit factor to get the base quantity, then divide by the target factor. The other-units table compares the same value without retyping it.
A worked example
1 standard gravity = 9.80665 meters per second squared.
Before you use the result
Displayed values are rounded; extra digits do not make your measurement more accurate. Standard gravity is a defined reference, not a measurement of gravity at your location. Negative acceleration may represent a chosen direction.
standard gravity (g₀) to meters per second squared (m/s²): reference values
| standard gravity (g₀) | meters per second squared (m/s²) |
|---|---|
| 1 | 9.80665 |
| 10 | 98.0665 |
| 100 | 980.665 |
Calculated with the same conversion as the tool above.
