How to convert ppm

Use the same basis throughout: mass per mass or volume per volume. Billion means 1000000000. Converting mg/L requires solution density and is a separate tool.

Multiply by the source unit factor to get the base quantity, then divide by the target factor. The other-units table compares the same value without retyping it.
