How to convert density
Density relates mass and volume. Changing units does not account for density changes caused by temperature, pressure or composition.
Multiply by the source unit factor to get the base quantity, then divide by the target factor. The other-units table compares the same value without retyping it.
A worked example
1 gram per milliliter = 1000 kilograms per cubic meter.
Before you use the result
Displayed values are rounded; extra digits do not make your measurement more accurate. Density relates mass and volume. Changing units does not account for density changes caused by temperature, pressure or composition.
grams per milliliter (g/mL) to kilograms per cubic meter (kg/m³): reference values
| grams per milliliter (g/mL) | kilograms per cubic meter (kg/m³) |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1000 |
| 10 | 10000 |
| 100 | 100000 |
Calculated with the same conversion as the tool above.
