Paper size converter processes your input in this browser. Inputs and results are excluded from analytics. Recent tools save tool names, visit counts and last-visit times. Saved tools store only their names. Draft saving is optional and stays on this device; delete saved text with the draft controls. Loading text from a URL is optional and contacts that server; its URL and your IP address are visible to the server. An optional “Use in” action keeps a handoff in this tab. How this conversion works

Paper names are nominal dimensions from the IANA printing registry. Inch values use 25.4 millimeters per inch. You can edit the original width and height for a custom sheet.

The fit-to-page scale is the smaller of target width/original width and target height/original height. With rotation allowed, the converter compares both orientations.

A worked example

A4 is 210 × 297 mm. To fit it on Letter, 215.9 × 279.4 mm, without cropping, scale by about 94.0741% before printer margins.

Before you use the result

Does not edit a document, set printer margins or guarantee a printer’s supported stock. Dimensions are nominal; the target list covers ISO A0–A10 and Letter, Legal, Ledger and Executive. Nonzero numeric inputs for these compound calculations are limited to 1e-40 through 1e40.
