Using Minecraft Nether coordinate calculator
Convert horizontal coordinates between the standard Overworld and Nether at the 8:1 scale.
Based on Minecraft Java 1.21.11 vanilla dimension metadata: Overworld coordinate_scale 1 and Nether 8. Y is not scaled. Decimal targets are exact coordinate conversions; floored block coordinates locate the containing block, including negative coordinates. Portal search, world borders, safe placement, custom dimensions and older console rules are not simulated.
A worked example
For starting x coordinate = 800, starting z coordinate = -400, direction = Overworld to Nether, converted x = 100.

Example results for starting x coordinate
These examples use Starting Z coordinate: -400; Direction: Overworld to Nether. They are reference calculations, not recommended settings.
| Starting X coordinate | Converted X |
|---|---|
| 400 | 50 |
| 800 | 100 |
