Using American flag size proportions calculator
Scale the US flag's standard 1:1.9 proportions from its height, including the union, stripes and star diameter.
Uses the Executive Order 10834 drawing reproduced by GovInfo. All outputs use the same unit as the entered hoist. The union height and stripe use the drawing's exact fractions, 7/13 and 1/13; star diameter uses its decimal factor 0.0616. This scales the standard drawing, not every authorized procurement size or a sewing pattern with seam allowances.
A worked example
For flag height, hoist (any length unit) = 13, flag length (fly) = 24.7.
