How this conversion works

Annual pay divided by paid weeks and paid weekly hours gives equivalent gross hourly pay. Reverse the calculation to annualize an hourly rate.

Monthly and weekly figures are simple averages. Unpaid leave, overtime, bonuses and varying schedules require your own adjusted inputs.

A worked example

52000 in annual gross pay ÷ 52 paid weeks ÷ 40 paid hours = 25 per hour.
