How it is worked out
- $10 × 40 hours = $400 a week
- $400 × 52 weeks = $20,800 a year
- $20,800 ÷ 12 = $1,733.33 a month; ÷ 26 = $800 every two weeks
These are gross figures: pay before income tax and any other deductions. Every hour counts at the same rate, so overtime paid at a higher rate is not in them. For take-home pay, use the paycheck calculator.
