Using Refrigerant line charge calculator
Liquid mass = π × (inside diameter in meters)² ÷ 4 × length × density.
Geometric mass for a completely liquid-filled circular line at your supplied density. This is not a system charging instruction. Refrigerant type, pressure, temperature, vapor fraction, factory charge and manufacturer line-length corrections are not inferred.
A worked example
For line internal diameter (mm) = 8, line length (meters) = 10, liquid density at your conditions (kg/m³) = 1000, liquid mass (kg) = 0.502655.

Example results for line internal diameter (mm)
These examples use Line length (meters): 10; Liquid density at your conditions (kg/m³): 1000. They are reference calculations, not recommended settings.
| Line internal diameter (mm) | Liquid mass (kg) |
|---|---|
| 4 | 0.125664 |
| 8 | 0.502655 |
| 16 | 2.010619 |
