Using Capacitance to charge calculator
For an ideal constant capacitor, Q = CV; solve for capacitance with C = Q/V using charge and voltage magnitudes.
An ideal capacitor with constant capacitance is assumed. Values do not establish voltage rating or safe operating conditions.
A worked example
With capacitance (f) = 0.001, voltage (v) = 12, the charge (c) is 0.012.
Before you use the result
An ideal capacitor with constant capacitance is assumed. Values do not establish voltage rating or safe operating conditions.
Example results for capacitance (f)
These examples use Voltage (V): 12; Input mode: Find charge from capacitance and voltage. They are reference calculations, not recommended settings.
| Capacitance (F) | Charge (C) |
|---|---|
| 0.0005 | 0.006 |
| 0.001 | 0.012 |
| 0.002 | 0.024 |
