Using AGI calculator
Add taxable wages and other taxable income, then subtract allowable adjustments to estimate adjusted gross income.
Enter amounts already determined under the rules for your tax year, including allowable business losses in other income. Standard or itemized deductions and tax credits do not reduce AGI. This arithmetic does not decide deduction eligibility, business-loss limits or taxable Social Security. Verify the inputs against your return; the result can be negative.
A worked example
For taxable wages, tips and salary (usd) = 60000, other income included on form 1040 (usd) = 11000, allowable schedule 1 adjustments (usd) = 2750, adjusted gross income (usd) = 68250.
