How to convert volume
US liquid and Imperial gallons are separate choices. This does not convert US dry gallons or fluid volume to mass.
Multiply by the source unit factor to get the base quantity, then divide by the target factor. The other-units table compares the same value without retyping it.
A worked example
1 US liquid gallon = 231 cubic inches = 3.785411784 liters.
