Time duration calculator processes your input in this browser. Inputs and results are excluded from analytics. Recent tools save tool names, visit counts and last-visit times. Saved tools store only their names. Draft saving is optional and stays on this device; delete saved text with the draft controls. Using Time duration calculator

Clock mode can carry an earlier end time into the following day. Date mode uses the selected time zone, including daylight-saving transitions. Unpaid breaks are subtracted from elapsed time.

A worked example

09:00 to 17:30 with a 30-minute break is 8 hours. In New York on March 8, 2026, 01:30 to 03:30 lasts 1 hour because the clock jumps forward.

Before you use the result

Clock mode treats a day as 24 hours and equal times as zero. Use date mode for longer intervals or clock changes. Date mode supports 1900–2100 and asks which occurrence to use in a repeated hour.
