How to split a PDF
Choose the PDF, then how to split it: take some pages into one new file, make one file for each range you type, cut it every few pages, or save every page as its own PDF. Write pages like 1-3, 5, 8-; a range that ends in a dash runs to the last page.
Each new PDF keeps its pages exactly as they were, with their text, pictures and size. Several files come as separate downloads or together in one ZIP file.
Worked example
Splitting a 10-page report with the ranges 1-3, 4-10 gives two PDFs: report-1-3.pdf with 3 pages and report-4-10.pdf with 7. Cutting it every 4 pages gives three files of 4, 4 and 2 pages.
Before you rely on the result
One PDF of up to 200 MB at a time, and up to 500 new files. A PDF locked with a password has to be unlocked first. Bookmarks are not carried into the new files. Nothing is uploaded.
