Using Snow weight calculator
Calculate snow mass = area × depth × supplied density.
Density is a measurement or scenario you supply; snow type is not used to guess it. Uneven drifts and other loads are excluded. This does not assess whether a roof can carry the load.
A worked example
Example inputs: covered area (m²) = 10, snow depth (m) = 0.2, snow density (kg/m³) = 100. Snow mass (kg) = 200.
Before you use the result

Example results for covered area (m²)
These examples use Snow depth (m): 0.2; Snow density (kg/m³): 100. They are reference calculations, not recommended settings.
| Covered area (m²) | Snow mass (kg) |
|---|---|
| 5 | 100 |
| 10 | 200 |
| 20 | 400 |
