Using Room furniture planner
Place rectangular furniture by dimensions and coordinates, with a live floor plan and overlap checks.
Use one length unit for the room and all furniture. Coordinates start at the top-left corner; x runs right and y runs down. Swap width and depth to rotate an item by 90°. Touching edges are allowed. This checks axis-aligned footprints only, not access, door swings, sockets, clearances, irregular shapes or safe egress.
A worked example
Example inputs: furniture: name, x, y, width, depth = Sofa, 0, 0, 2, 1 Table, 2.5, 1, 1, 1, room width = 5, room depth = 4. Layout status = No rectangle overlaps or boundary crossings.
