Using Calculate ROI
ROI = (amount returned − amount invested) ÷ amount invested × 100.
Returned amount includes the recovered initial investment. This is total return, not annualized return. Include all costs in the investment.
A worked example
With amount invested = 1000, total amount returned = 1250, the return on investment (%) is 25.
