Using RMD calculator
For the standard owner table, divide the prior year-end account balance by the IRS Uniform Lifetime Table divisor.
2026 calculation for an owner account subject to an RMD. Do not use this table for an inherited account, a Roth owner account, or a sole-beneficiary spouse more than 10 years younger. Annuity allocations and special employer-plan deferrals are excluded. This calculates an amount; it does not decide your starting age, deadline, tax or account aggregation rules.
A worked example
At age 75 the IRS divisor is 24.6, so a $100,000 balance on 31 December 2025 means a 2026 distribution of $4,065.04.
