Formula and assumptions

2026 US regular employee pay, using a 2020-or-later W-4 and IRS Worksheet 1A. Enter state/local withholding yourself. This is an estimate, not payroll filing software. Excludes supplemental wages, nonresident-alien adjustments, tipped wages, pre-2020 W-4s and tax-exempt payroll. Benefits are subtracted from both income-tax and FICA wages; traditional 401(k) contributions reduce income-tax wages only.

Automatic precision shows money to two decimal places and other numbers to 12 significant digits. Thousands separators such as 1,000 are accepted; use a dot for decimals.

Use +, −, ×, ÷, parentheses and %. A percentage is divided by 100. This does not change the main tool.
