Using Adjusted body weight calculator
Adjusted weight equals reference weight plus your protocol's factor times the excess actual weight.
The example factor 0.4 appears in the cited NHS formula; it is not universal. Enter a reference weight and factor chosen under the applicable clinical protocol. Actual weight must be at least reference weight for this excess-weight model. This calculator does not select a dosing weight, drug dose, eligibility threshold or weight-loss target.
A worked example
For actual body weight (kg) = 100, protocol reference or ideal weight (kg) = 70, correction factor specified by protocol = 0.4, adjusted reference weight (kg) = 82.
