Video script timer processes your input in this browser. Inputs and results are excluded from analytics. Recent tools save tool names, visit counts and last-visit times. Saved tools store only their names. Draft saving is optional and stays on this device; delete saved text with the draft controls. Loading text from a URL is optional and contacts that server; its URL and your IP address are visible to the server. An optional “Use in” action keeps a handoff in this tab. The next tool removes it on arrival and ignores it if more than a minute has passed.

Using the video script timer

Words are counted as whitespace-separated tokens. Estimated duration is word count divided by your words-per-minute setting, plus the pause allowance. Speaking style, pronunciation and edits can change the actual duration.

A worked example

The 10-word sample at 120 words per minute takes an estimated 5 seconds before any pauses.

This is a planning estimate, not a recording measurement. Hyphenated text without spaces counts as one word; scripts without word-separating spaces need a different counting method.
