Using Unit circle calculator
Find the point (cosθ, sinθ) on the unit circle for an angle in degrees.
The unit circle has radius 1. Angles increase counterclockwise from the positive x-axis. Floating-point values near axis crossings may be tiny numbers instead of exact zero.
A worked example
Example inputs: angle (degrees) = 60. Unit-circle x coordinate = 0.5.

Example results for angle (degrees)
These examples use the formula above. They are reference calculations, not recommended settings.
| Angle (degrees) | Unit-circle x coordinate |
|---|---|
| 30 | 0.866025403784 |
| 60 | 0.5 |
| 120 | -0.5 |
