Tournament bracket generator processes your input in this browser. Inputs and results are excluded from analytics. Recent tools save tool names, visit counts and last-visit times. Saved tools store only their names. Draft saving is optional and stays on this device; delete saved text with the draft controls. Loading text from a URL is optional and contacts that server; its URL and your IP address are visible to the server. An optional “Use in” action keeps a handoff in this tab. The next tool removes it on arrival and ignores it if more than a minute has passed.

Using Tournament bracket generator

Tournament bracket generator expands to the next power-of-two bracket and places the highest seeds apart. Byes advance automatically; later matches refer to the winning match number.

A worked example

Four seeds produce first-round matches 1 versus 4 and 2 versus 3. Five entrants require an eight-slot bracket with three byes.

Before you use the result

This creates a seeded single-elimination draw, not a standings system. It does not record scores, reseed rounds or handle double elimination. To randomize the seeding first, shuffle the list in the list randomizer.
