Each nonblank line is an entry
Blank lines are skipped and spaces around each entry are trimmed. Duplicate lines remain separate entries unless you choose Remove duplicates. Shuffle keeps all remaining entries; Draw removes the chosen entry when No repeats is on. To divide the whole list into groups, make teams.
A worked example
Ada, Ben and Ada on separate lines produce three entries by default. Remove duplicates leaves Ada and Ben.
Before you use the result
Changing the list resets the draw history. ToolOctopus does not save the list or results. A duplicate name can still appear again if duplicate entries were kept. To leave particular names out of a draw, use the name picker.
