Using Solar system scale calculator
Scale a planet's diameter and mean distance from the Sun to your chosen model Earth size.
NASA fact-sheet equatorial diameters and mean Sun distances, updated March 2025. Distance is a mean orbital scale, not a live planet position or distance from Earth. Diameters exclude rings. The diameter and distance use the same scale; this shows why tabletop planet sizes require much larger orbital distances.
A worked example
If Earth is a 10 mm ball, Jupiter is about 112 mm across and sits about 610 m from the model Sun.
