Using Retirement withdrawal calculator
Estimate how long savings support a fixed withdrawal at a constant annual return.
Withdrawals occur at year-end; a fractional year is an algebraic estimate, not a dated payment schedule. No inflation, volatility, taxes or changing withdrawals. “No depletion” is true only for the fixed inputs and is not a guarantee.
A worked example
Example inputs: starting savings = 12000, annual withdrawal = 1200, annual effective return (%) = 0. Years until depletion = 10.
