Presenter timer

Time left for your talk, readable from the stage. Set the length and two warnings, press Start, and the clock tells you when to wrap up and how far over you are.

The second window shows only the clock, for a screen the audience or the speaker sees; this page keeps the controls. The screen stays awake while the timer runs where your browser allows it.

Using it for a talk

Enter the length of your slot and when you want the two warnings, for example 5 minutes and 1 minute before the end. Press Start as you begin. The large number is the time left; the line under it shows the time used so far.

At the first warning the ring turns amber and the label says how many minutes are left; at the last warning it turns coral and says to wrap up. At zero the clock does not stop: it shows “Over time” and counts up, so a chair or moderator can see exactly how far over the talk is.

Plus and minus add or take away a minute while it runs, for a late start or a question that ate into the slot. The chime is off by default; tick it to hear a sound at each warning and at zero.

Full screen puts the clock alone on this screen. Open the clock in a second window to drag it onto a projector, a confidence monitor or a second laptop screen; it follows this page's Start, Pause and Reset. Nothing is sent anywhere: both windows run on this device.

For example: a 20-minute talk with warnings at 5 and 1 minutes. At 15:00 elapsed the clock turns amber and says “5 minutes left”; at 19:00 it turns coral and says “Wrap up: 1 minute left”; 45 seconds after the end it reads “+0:45” under “Over time”.
