Classroom timer

A visual timer the whole room can read. Name what the time is for, put it on the projector and press Start. It stays silent unless you turn the sound on.

Ready

00:10:00

Keep this tab open. The screen stays awake while the timer runs where your browser allows it; a sleeping device can delay the sound.

Using it in class

Type the first phase, such as Work, Reading or Group task, and its minutes; add a second phase such as Tidy up or Share, or set its minutes to 0. The phase name shows above the time, so everyone knows what the minutes are for.

Press Full screen on the projector or the board: only the ring, the time, the phase and the buttons remain. The ring drains as time runs out, so younger children can read it without telling the time. When a phase ends the next begins on its own; Skip phase moves on early.

The timer is silent by default. Tick Sound at zero and choose a chime, a beep or a bell; Preview plays it first. While it runs, the screen stays awake where the browser allows it.

For example: Work 10 minutes, then Tidy up 2 minutes. The display shows “Work” and 00:10:00, counts down to zero, switches to “Tidy up” and 00:02:00, then shows “Finished”.
