Using Moving truck calculator
Required cargo space = item volume ÷ usable-space fraction. Trips = round up(required space ÷ cargo capacity).
This volume scenario uses your own packing-efficiency and truck-capacity inputs. It does not recommend a rental model or determine payload compliance. Check weight limits, door dimensions, item fit and load-securing requirements separately.
A worked example
For item volume (cubic feet) = 450, usable share of cargo space (%) = 75, truck cargo capacity (cubic feet) = 800, required cargo space (cubic feet) = 600.

Example results for item volume (cubic feet)
These examples use Usable share of cargo space (%): 75; Truck cargo capacity (cubic feet): 800. They are reference calculations, not recommended settings.
| Item volume (cubic feet) | Required cargo space (cubic feet) |
|---|---|
| 225 | 300 |
| 450 | 600 |
| 900 | 1200 |
