Using Age calculator

Choose a birth date and the date you want to measure from. Completed calendar months use a month-end anniversary when a month is shorter. Next-birthday dates can use February 28 or March 1 for a February 29 birth.

A worked example

A person born on February 29, 2000 is 25 years old on February 28, 2025 under the month-end anniversary rule.

This is calendar arithmetic, not a legal age or eligibility decision. The February 29 option changes the next-birthday date; the age breakdown uses month-end anniversaries.
