Video frame extractor processes your input in this browser. Inputs and results are excluded from analytics. Recent tools save tool names, visit counts and last-visit times. Saved tools store only their names. Draft saving is optional and stays on this device; delete saved text with the draft controls. Loading text from a URL is optional and contacts that server; its URL and your IP address are visible to the server. An optional “Use in” action keeps a handoff in this tab. The next tool removes it on arrival and ignores it if more than a minute has passed.

Copy link includes the inputs you choose to share in the address. Anyone with that link can reopen them. Files and generated results are excluded. Password and key tools share settings only.

Using the video frame extractor

The browser seeks to the requested time and draws its decoded frame at the video’s native dimensions. The saved PNG is decoded again before download is enabled. Playback and extraction use the local file.

A worked example

The original fixture is a 64 × 48 red video. Extracting at 0.5 seconds produces a red 64 × 48 PNG.

Before you use the result

Browser-supported MP4 and WebM with a finite seekable duration only. Seeking can land on a nearby decoded frame, so this is not a frame-accurate editing system. Files are limited to 100 MB. Frames use the browser’s decoded colors. Video color metadata and browser conversion can affect exact RGB values, especially when the file leaves its color matrix unspecified.
