When a button sends your result to another tool, it waits in this tab until that tool opens it, for up to a minute, and is then deleted.

What will the code open?

Choose the content before saving. A URL opens a page; Wi-Fi stores the network name, security type and password; email opens a draft. The preview summary shows what is inside.

Optional colors, rounded squares or dots, a local logo and a frame customize the code. A logo uses high error correction. The final image is decoded in your browser and must match your input before downloading.

Worked example

The address https://tooloctopus.com is encoded as written. A missing https:// prefix may be treated as plain text by a scanner.

Before you rely on the result

Keep the white border. More error correction makes a denser code, so leave enough room in print. The destination is fixed in the image, with no redirect link and no scan count; changing the destination requires a new code. The local image check cannot predict every scanner, screen or printing condition. Test your final printed size before relying on it.
