Using the mesh converter repair
Cleanup compares exact triangle coordinates, removes repeated faces regardless of vertex order, drops triangles with zero area and recomputes normals. Coordinates are otherwise preserved, subject to float32 precision in binary STL.
A worked example
The defect example contains a four-face tetrahedron, one repeated face and one empty face. Cleanup retains four triangles and reports one removal of each kind.
Before you use the result
STL only. This does not repair holes, intersections, inverted shells or manifold topology. It is not a printability check. Binary output uses float32 coordinates; ASCII preserves parsed numeric values.
