One foot is 12 inches and one inch is exactly 2.54 cm. Extra inches must be from 0 up to 12; negative feet make the whole measurement negative. Use a unit converter for general signed decimal lengths.

Automatic precision shows numbers to 12 significant digits. Thousands separators such as 1,000 are accepted; use a dot for decimals.
