Using Double angle calculator
Calculate sin(2θ), cos(2θ) and tan(2θ) from an angle in degrees.
Uses sin(2θ) = 2sinθcosθ and cos(2θ) = cos²θ − sin²θ. Tangent is undefined when cos(2θ) is zero; values numerically indistinguishable from zero use that limit.
A worked example
Example inputs: angle θ (degrees) = 45. sin(2θ) = 1.
Before you use the result
Uses sin(2θ) = 2sinθcosθ and cos(2θ) = cos²θ − sin²θ. Tangent is undefined when cos(2θ) is zero; values numerically indistinguishable from zero use that limit.
