Charades generator

Choose a category, keep the screen to yourself, and reveal something to act out.

Your input stays in this browser.

Keep the screen facing the person acting. Reveal the prompt when they are ready. Skipped prompts stay out until you reset.

Your prompt

Draw history (contains previous prompts)

Give the actor a prompt, then put the screen away

Choose everyday actions, sports, animals, roles or situations. The actor reveals a prompt and acts it without saying the answer. Skip with Next prompt; it will stay out of the draw until you reset. If you are playing in teams, split the names before the first round.

Easy prompts use recognizable actions. More challenging prompts add a situation or an unexpected combination. Agree on your own round length and passing rule before you begin.

A worked example

Opening an umbrella gives the actor a clear motion to mime. A robot learning to dance adds a character and a situation for the group to guess. For a drawing round instead, choose drawing words.

Before you use the result

Draw history shows previously revealed answers. Keep it closed while others are guessing. These prompts have no age rating; the organizer can skip or adapt any prompt for the group.
