Using Bcrypt generator
Create a salted bcrypt password hash or compare a password with an existing bcrypt hash.
A worked example
Hash example-password, then compare the same password with that hash: the comparison matches. Changing the password makes the comparison fail.
Before you use the result
Passwords are limited to 72 UTF-8 bytes to prevent silent bcrypt truncation. Costs 4–12 are supported here; larger costs can make a browser unresponsive. A new random salt gives a different hash each time. Password fields are excluded from shared links. This is a local utility, not account storage or an authentication service.
