Background remover processes your input in this browser. Inputs and results are excluded from analytics. Recent tools save tool names, visit counts and last-visit times. Saved tools store only their names. Draft saving is optional and stays on this device; delete saved text with the draft controls. Loading text from a URL is optional and contacts that server; its URL and your IP address are visible to the server. An optional “Use in” action keeps a handoff in this tab. The next tool removes it on arrival and ignores it if more than a minute has passed.

Remove one background color

Choose the background color and a tolerance. Each pixel’s largest RGB channel difference from that color is compared with the tolerance; matching pixels become transparent. This works best for icons and flat backgrounds, not complex portraits.

A worked example

With #0B7285 and zero tolerance, the teal half of the sample becomes transparent while the coral and cream shapes remain.

Before you use the result

This is color-key removal, not AI subject detection. Matching colors inside the subject are also removed. Fine hair, shadows and mixed-color edges may need a dedicated image editor.
